New Era celebrates 10th Anniversary

New Era Foundation is 10.

The foundation was registered as a corporate body on 17th January, 2000 with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja. It was launched and presented to the public on 21st March,2000. Since then, the foundation has been engaged in various activities to promote the wholesome development of youth with the family in mind. It is the belief at NEF that children who are encouraged and are supported by their families do better. Guardians, mentors, role models and the community are not left out in the process of moulding the lives of youth.

NEF focuses on leadership development by creating learning and development opportunities for the youth with a unique value-based approach to non-formal education.

Over the years, various competitions had been held to promote healthy rivalry among the youth. These range from Spelling Bee competitions, cooking contests to essay writings. Money gifts were the major incentive for children from indigent backgrounds and educational materials like laptop computers were items that made the competitions popular.

NEF has partnered with other organisations agencies in its programmes. Funding for its programmes is from well-meaning individuals, corporate organisations, government and other international donor agencies.
